Registration Rules

Mode of Registration

All registrations must be completed through the official website: www.kozhikodemarathon.in

Participants must read all event details, rules, and declarations before registering.

Customized BIBs

To receive a customized BIB, participants must register at least 4 days before the event.

Non-Transferable Registration

Registrations are strictly non-transferable. No transfer, resale, or exchange is allowed.

Age Eligibility

• 5 KM: Minimum age – 10 years
• 10 KM & 21 KM: Minimum age – 15 years
• Age will be considered as on event day. Age proof may be requested.

Individual Entries Only

Only individual entries are accepted for all categories.

Entry Confirmation Confirmation of Application

Confirmation depends on compliance with all rules. Organizers may reject applications.

Registration Acknowledgement

Participants will receive an email with a Booking ID after successful registration.

BIB Expo & Collection BIB Expo

Held 1–2 days before the event. No BIB distribution on event day.

Collection by a Representative

Representative must show the participant’s valid photo ID.

Proper BIB Placement

BIB must be clearly visible on the front chest. Incorrect placement leads to disqualification.

BIB Exchange Prohibited

Tampering, duplication, or misuse of BIB/timing chip leads to disqualification.

Refund, Cancellation & Event Changes No Cancellation / Refund

No cancellations or refunds allowed.

Force Majeure

If cancelled due to unforeseen reasons, full refund will be issued. If postponed, participants may run on new date or get refund.

No On-Spot Registration

On-spot registrations are not allowed.

Race Day Rules Category Compliance

Run only in the registered category.

Start Time Compliance

Runners must start only at the assigned time.

No Unauthorized Participation

• No pets
• No unregistered runners
• No under-aged children
• No balloons

Medical Safety

Medical team may stop unfit participants. Non-cooperation leads to disqualification.

Cut-Off Times

Participants missing cut-off must shift to footpath and continue without timing.

Timing Chip Rules

Damaged or exchanged chip results in no timing, certificate, or prize.

Venue Access

Only participants with valid BIB allowed.

No Baggage Facility

No responsibility for personal belongings.

Cooperation with Authorities

Participants must cooperate with police and security teams.

Code of Conduct

• Maintain discipline and sportsmanship.
• No abusive behavior.
• No littering.

Liability Waiver

Participants run at their own risk. Organizers are not liable for injuries or loss.

Photography & Media

Participants permit the use of event photos/videos for promotion.

Winners, Prizes & Certificates Winners' Ceremony

Ceremony will be held on race day.

Finisher’s Medal

Given only to participants who complete the run.

Timing Disputes

Timing disputes must be raised within 24 hours.

Event Modification Rights

Organizers may change rules, timings, route, or disqualify participants as needed.

Insurance Personal Insurance

Participants must arrange their own medical or accident insurance.

Event Liability

Basic event liability insurance does not cover personal risk.

Medical Emergencies

Organizers are not liable for medical expenses.

Dress Code

• Wear comfortable running attire.
• No offensive or political messages.
• Proper athletic shoes recommended.
• No unsafe costumes or accessories.

BIB Collection for Others Collection Requirements

• Participant’s photo ID (copy)
• Representative’s ID
• Authorization letter or message

Responsibility for Accuracy

BIB once collected is considered delivered. No re-issue.

No Changes After Collection

No category or name changes after BIB pickup.

Bulk Collection

One representative may collect for multiple participants with proper documents.

Force Majeure

Organizers are not liable for delays or cancellation due to events beyond control.
